Douglas DC-3
The Douglas DC-3 is a propeller driven airliner which was manufactured by Douglas Aircraft Company. Introduced in 1936, the airline was designed to hold a capacity of 21 to 32 passengers. The DC-3 had a lasted effect on the airline industry during World War 2 due to its speed, range and reliability compared to its predecessors. The aircraft retired in 1942 and was replaced with more advanced airliners. In total 607 DC-3 were built.
